District redistricting could cut Third District voters sharply
Opponents of moving Santa Ynez Valley into the Second District claim Goleta Valley registration would plunge from 24 054 to about 13 000 if Santa Ynez Valley s 2 651 voters join. A further loss of 7 869 voters could occur west of San Roque Rd and east from Fairview Ave to the Second District, leaving the Second District with a net gain of 5 209 and the Third District down 10 520.
