Girl Scout Day Camp Has Indian Theme And Activities

About 115 girls from the Lompoc and In denberg area attend a two week day camp at Squirrels est Campground Vandenberg Air Force Base titled Drum Up An Indian Beat. Campers learn beadwork weaving crafts under Mrs Centeno and assistants. A pow wow with campfire California songs dances and demonstrations by Peter Grand and Chumash leaders closes the camp.

Xi Omicron Tau Sets Sensitive Theater and Art Program

Xi Omicron Tau Beta Sigma Phi Xi Omicron Tau plans a year of sensitivity topics in hearing seeing feeling and appreciation via theater and art. The beginning day luncheon will be next month in Santa Barbara with current and prospective members. Meetings are at Mrs. Howard Holt’s home in Vandenberg AFB. The program schedule was outlined by Mrs. Richard Charest. A brief business meeting was conducted by Mrs. Gene Frankhouser. The August luncheon was announced by Mrs. Walter Schichner.
