Friends back impact report for balanced environmental and economic review
Friends of Santa Barbara County endorse AB 938 to require combining economic and environmental impact reports in project reviews. The bill, sponsored by Warren Thurman Berryhill, urges public agencies to balance factors including employment, taxes, and effects on minority groups and poverty while assessing projects. Local supporters emphasize protecting jobs and tax base alongside a better environment.
