Imperial Corp of America reports record six month earnings

Imperial Corp of America announces consolidated net earnings for the first six months of 1973 of 12.6 million, the highest for any first half year, up 24 percent from 10.1 million a year earlier. Per share earnings were 85 and 72 cents on 14,831,113 and 14,102,048 shares. Gross revenues reached 99.0 million versus 82.3 million in 1972. Savings of the company’s savings and loan subsidiaries totaled 2.2 billion at June 30, up from 1.9 billion. Net savings rose 115 million, compared with 174 million a year earlier, due to higher rates of return on other investments.
