SLO County explores interest in coastal aqueduct plan

County budget ready for adoption despite tax rate uncertainty

The County Board of Supervisors expect to adopt the 1970-71 budget Monday while taxpayers face September before the official tax rate is set. County Bank Seeks Lompoc Location Near Show Auto

County Bank applied to the State Banking Department for a permit to locate a full service branch in Lompoc near Show Auto Parts on North H Street. If approved, the bank would seek FDIC backing within two to three months and could add other outlets on 142 acres. The bank, founded 1965 with assets over 10.8 million, currently operates in Santa Barbara and Carpinteria.

Funeral services for Louis L. Crompe in North Hollywood

Louis L. Crompe, 71, father of Record Editor Harry Crompe, died Wednesday in Los Angeles after a long illness. Funeral services were held today in North Hollywood. He was a veteran of both World War I and World War II.
