Taxpayer group suggests cuts to county budget to ease levy
The County Taxpayers Assn proposes budget trimming to save about 32 cents of the projected tax levy amid a 60 cent hike for 1975 76. Recommendations include eliminating the Flood Control and Water Conservation District and County Water Agency levies, cutting reserves, and boosting other revenues to reduce the tax rate. County supervisors earlier invited such input before the August 29 deadline.
