A's spoil no hit bid by rookie Garland

In a nine inning marathon the A's exploded for five runs in the ninth to defeat the Orioles 6-4. Wayne Garland lost a 2 hit bid and his complete game when Enos Cabell error and a Campaneris single sparked the rally. Reggie Jackson drove in a run with a double and Hosley added a sacrifice fly. Garland admitted the outing proved he can pitch in the majors.
