Buellton District maps plan to expand water connections
Directors of the Buellton Community Services District agreed in principle to an eight item plan from the state health department to lift Well No 3 from standby status and bring it into service for expansion. The action followed a report by Thomas M. Stetson and a Santa Barbara meeting with T J Gannon and A L Ellsworth.

Dr. Cornelius Named Minerals Department Manager for Esso AG
Dr. Kenneth D. Cornelius has been named minerals department manager for Esso A.G. the West German affiliate of Exxon. He will head all non hydrocarbon mineral exploration activities and holds geology degrees from the University of Arizona and a doctorate from the University of Queensland. Prior roles include exploration with Freeport Minerals and Kennecott Copper and service in Esso Eastern's program in Australia.

Water district keeps tax rate for land at 75 cents
Improvement District No 1 of the Santa Ynez River Water Conservation District approved a 1976 77 budget of 397435 dollars and maintained a 75 cent tax per 100 of assessed land value. It also adopted water exchange and diversion agreements with Solvang Municipal Improvement District and discussed wastewater and reservation pollution risks.
