Bicyclist Hurt In Fall Near T Street And Prune Avenue
AN 11 year old bicyclist Charles Heinrich of 1113 West Airport Avenue suffered minor injuries after a fall at T Street and Prune Avenue. Taken to Lompoc Hospital for treatment police attributed inexperience with a new bicycle.

County Supervisors Schedule Events and Decisions in July
County supervisors plan a July 26 Bicentennial program on the Santa Barbara courthouse grounds with a three Redwood tree planting. They rejected buying a vacant east of San Antonio Canyon parcel and considered traffic signs and lights for Clark Ave and Stillwell Rd in Santa Maria. They also voided eight month passes at Cachuma Lake and set bid opening Aug 5 for $8,800 electrical work at the County Bowl. They extended a Solvang office lease at $225 monthly and discussed a 3 percent pay boost for county officials, resisted by Harrell Fletcher until a full Board vote. The County Planning Commission voted 5 to 2 to revoke I Jerry Parker's conditional use permit for a farm employee trailer at 5770 Stillwell Road Orcutt area and to deny Parker a temporary mobile home as a single family dwelling for a full time self employed farmer in the same area. The panel also denied Sharon L Whittington and William R Shortell a lot size adjustment from 16 acres to create two 8 acre parcels on Chalk Hill Road south of Ballard Canyon Road Little Fork Ranch property.
