South Vietnamese troops recapture Dap Da amid Viet Cong flag removal
UPI reports a combined force of South Vietnamese tanks and U S air support recaptured Dap Da and tore down the Viet Cong flag. An Loc paratroopers breached routes and entered the town for the first time since siege began two months earlier. B52 raids expanded to 30 miles north of the DMZ with heavy strikes on Hanoi Haiphong area. Cat Bi Airfield blasted and explosions lit the region.

Two Valley High Schools Grant 800 Diplomas at Commencement
About 800 seniors received diplomas today in Valley two high schools ceremonies. Cabrillo High School officials led by Trustee Archie Nagle handed out diplomas while Lompoc High School trustees Karl Braun and DeWayne Holmdahl did the same.
