Doctors Pay Premiums to Prevent Lapse Amid Insurance Crisis
In Los Angeles County, about 40 percent of the 9,500 physicians had paid by Wednesday morning as some 4,000 covered Travelers premiums and 1,500 joined a new cooperative. Doctors warned of higher medical bills and possible strike actions as Gov Brown bargained for an immediate solution to the crisis.
