Kissinger Predicts Laos and Cambodia Cease-Fires After Vietnam
Kissinger forecast formal cease-fire in Laos and de facto halt in Cambodia following the Paris agreement ending America's longest war. He said POWs would be flown out of Hanoi in groups roughly every two weeks, with 23,700 U.S. troops to be withdrawn by March 28 and a four nation supervisory force to oversee the truce.

Three Accidents Leave Three Injured in Lompoc Area
A Lompoc woman 20 Bertha I Williams suffered minor injuries when the car she rode in hit a city pole cutting power to the northeast Lompoc for about 30 minutes. Driver Quinaido D King 22 not injured. A second accident on Highway 246 near Hapgood Road left Jeanette B Vieira 39 with minor injuries when another car hit hers driven by William B Sanchez 28 who was not injured. Vieira turned U in front of him. A third crash on Santa Lucia Canyon Road near Pine Canyon Gate left Noelle D Wood 17 with minor injuries after her small sports car flipped onto its top and she was treated at the Base Hospital. Cause not available.

Lompoc Hospital District directors grant immediate construction on most of a 20 year expansion program at the acute medical facility on Hickory Avenue. A 74 bed convalescent unit remains blocked by state ruling. The plan includes a coronary care unit eight beds lab and x ray upgrades a basement a nuclear medicine department and expanded emergency services. Referendum on Rezoning Moves Toward Election Vote
Prospects rise for a county wide referendum after rezoning actions near Solvang.
