Parks to open portions of Beattie Park and Santa Ynez River Park
At the Lompoc Parks and Recreation Commission meeting it was announced portions of Beattie Park and the Santa Ynez River Park should open to the public by next summer. Beattie Park’s 150 by 100 foot playground is planned for construction this year if the City Council approves a $10,000 advance from the 76 77 budget. Environmental reports are due February 11 and poles for the playground are being sourced as they become available. The Santa Ynez River Park is progressing with an entrance and parking lot, with work to finish by summer and summer programs including a day camp starting in June.
