Fletcher to chair board but loses coastal post to Yager
County Supervisor Harrell Fletcher was named new chairman for 1977 but was replaced on the regional Coastal Commission by Second District Supervisor David Yager. Yager, an attorney from Montecito, will take Fletcher's post immediately, with the Coastal Commission meeting January 6 in Santa Barbara to select a state representative. Fletcher expressed disappointment and urged backup material for future agenda items. Last year Fletcher fought for more north county representation. John F. Adam Jr. was named a second north county representative, while Dr. William Wallace and Robert Hedlund were named new district supervisors and local agency formation officials.
