Funeral for Clifford Legare Held in Lompoc Life
Clifford Frederick Legare 64 died Friday in a Santa Maria hospital. Rosary Sunday 8 p.m. at McPeek Chapel and requiem Mass Monday 10 a.m. at La Purisima Catholic Church celebrated by Archbishop Henri Legare. Interment at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. Survived by widow Henrietta two daughters two brothers the Archbishop Henri Legare and Louie Legare one sister and 15 grandchildren.

Drop-In Center Provides Refuge For Local Youths
Copeland runs a two hour weekly drop in center at the yellow house on Walnut serving area high school students including 14 year old girls who have tried marijuana and are sexually active. He notes many youths use the space as a break from school and a regrouping point. Police chief Jim Smith says the center may help prevent delinquency and that those high on drugs are allowed in without fear of reporting.
