Chastain Named Interim Solvang Post Office Lead
Jerry W. Chastain, former Solvang interim, will oversee the Solvang Post Office following Richard Kintzel's retirement. He is currently postmaster at Santa Margarita and has long service in the Lom poc and Santa Barbara post offices. A screening from 58 applicants is underway with internal promotion likely within three to four months.

Viking Squares to perform at Santa Ynez Valley Senior Advisory Council dinner tonight at 6 at Rancy Club Mobile Estates Buellton.

The county board will consider two new landmarks the Santa Ynez Branch Library founded 1912 and the 1884 Rancho El Alamo Pintado adobe. The library sits next to the valley history museum. the adobe houses De la Cuesta family offices and was restored to preserve its historic walls.
