Lincoln program and PTA award at El Camino Elementary

Third grade pupils under Mrs. Coffelt staged Lincoln Reminders for Founders Day with flag bearers and a Love Somebody salute by fourth graders. Dorothy Hayes Sharon Madden and Crystal McNaughton performed on tonettes as Mrs. Marshall accompanied. PTA honorary service award to Mrs. Donald Schuyler announced by Mrs. Coffelt.

Club Arcturus Plans Its Ball Internationale

Acceptances for the Club Arcturus third annual ball are being received by Mrs. Edward Hill at 300 E North Ave. Reservations are coordinated through Hill with help from Mrs. Benjamin Brown. The event on Feb 27 runs 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Hall with the Leonard Walker Orchestra of Los Angeles and a vocalist. Flags of all nations will decorate the foyer as table decor. Refreshments will be served. Assistants include Simpson Foster Paul Bookman Lee Hill Sydney Dansby and Harry Jones. Current president Jay Linton.

Valentine Birthday Celebration for Maye at Bishop Home

A surprise birthday party honored Maye Bishop Sunday afternoon at her 203 North E Street home. Ten World War I Auxiliary members served as hostesses, with daffodil and iris arrangements. Mrs Lunden brought the floral, while Mrs Williams and Mrs Learned baked cakes, and guests gave a card shower.

Sweetheart Anniversary Song and Party for Van Camps

A 35th wedding anniversary celebration for Mr. and Mrs. William H. Van Camp at 916 E. Airport Ave included a vocal by Mrs. Lyle Starcher and a Valentine themed reception hosted by the AlLens at 900 E. Cherry. The event featured a "This is Your Life" segment by son Kenard Van Camp, gifts, and a large guest list with numerous relatives and friends from Lompoc and beyond.
