UK-X4 Satellite to Launch from Lompoc on Scout Rocket
United Kingdom experimental spacecraft the UK X4 will be launched by NASA aboard a four stage Scout rocket from the Western Test Range Lompoc around February 27. Five experiments will demonstrate attitude control sensors and solar cell degradation for future small spacecraft. The UK X4 is a cost reimbursable program between the United Kingdom Department of Trade and Industry and NASA. Also notices announce a public hearing by the Lompoc Planning Commission on February 25 to consider a zone change for 15 acres and a related environmental determination with a public comment period and appeal rights.
