Old West boom slated for Los Alamos

Art Wilson plans a five year, 200000 dollar transformation of the Sky View Motel into a Dodge City style resort on Highway 101. The project includes 32 two story facades, 40 adjacent acres, a remodeled restaurant, bathhouse, jail, general store, and extensive recreational facilities with a staff of up to 80.

Lompoc to Host Old Fashioned Sing Along and Holiday Events

The Lompoc Library hosts a Friday 7 30 p m sing along with ukelin by Mrs Phyllis Smith in the lobby. The Beautification Commission urges buying live Christmas trees for reuse or donation to the Wye project. Reporter Stephanie Bullock notes the plan and invites calls to Mike Kaufman at city hall.

Hart to Meet Constituents in Lompoc at Post Office

Assemblyman Gary K. Hart will hold public meetings in Lompoc at the Post Office, 801 W. Ocean, tomorrow December 18, with sessions from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and 3 p.m. to 4 30 p.m. He will sit at a card table near the entrance to hear residents’ concerns.

Rosary and funeral services for Max V Armero

Max V Armero, 65, will have a 7:30 p.m. Friday rosary at Gregory McPeek Mortuary Chapel. A funeral mass follows at 10 a.m. Saturday at La Purisima Catholic Church, with Interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Rev. Andrew McGrath to officiate.

Survivors include cousins John and Benny Armero of Lompoc. Friends may call Thursday 12 to 8 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m. until Saturday service time.
