He served 28 years in the United States Air Force retiring as tech sergeant in 1963 from Vandenberg AFB. Esther Gertrude Young 64 dies Saturday at Lompoc District Hospital with funeral at Starbuck Mortuary Chapel Wednesday at 10 a.m. and interment in Cemetery. She lived in Lompoc 23 years and is survived by husband James H. Young, son James H. Young Jr., daughter Betty Walker, siblings and grandchildren. Friends may call Starbuck Mortuary until 8 p.m. tonight.
