Administration backs pipeline rivals to Long Beach oil terminal
In Sacramento the Brown administration praised a Federal Energy Administration report suggesting cheaper options to SOHIO’s Long Beach terminal. The study favors pipelines along the U S Canadian border or other routes over the Long Beach plan, with officials urging delayed decisions until Alaska gas prospects are clearer.
