Planners drop overpass project from Goleta agenda
The County Planning Commission ended consideration of a general plan amendment to extend Coronado Drive over US 101 citing Hollister Park Investment Co. withdrawal of funding support. The move follows protests by residents and earlier incidents surrounding the project. The Cuesta Verde proposal near More Mesa raises water-use questions as the EQAA approved an environmental impact statement for Tyrolian Village Inc. development to be built over 12 years with substantial open space.
