Inmate Escapees Captured Near Gaviota Pass by CHP
CHP officers arrested escaped Federal Correctional Institution inmates Lawrence Barrows and Paul Corder in a stolen Rambler on Highway 101 near Gaviota Pass. The pair, hidden in a crate with missile cables, surrendered without a struggle and were jailed in Lompoc. Barrows, 24, from Mira Monte, faced murder charges. Corder, 21, from Ogden, Utah, faced auto theft charges.
