Ford orders study of amnesty question
President Ford told the 75th Veterans of Foreign Wars convention he opposes unconditional amnesty for Vietnam era draft dodgers but will have the Justice Department study cases individually. He asked the attorney general and defense secretary to report by Sept. 1 on about 50 000 deserters to decide future penalties and help them return home to work.

Lompoc Councilman Lefkowitz to be honored in graveside services
Graveside and public memorials will be held for Lompoc Councilman Sol Lefkowitz at 1 p.m. tomorrow in Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
