Santa Barbara County reports 1968 animal control results
More than 6,400 animals handled in 1968 under Santa Barbara County Animal Control. In Lompoc 1,712 animals, including 765 stray dogs and 367 cats, were processed. Shelter intake totaled 1,447 dogs and 1,241 cats with 479 redemptions and 1,250 destructions. Revenue reached 18,970 dollars. Rabies inspections involved 1,914 animals with no cases detected. 5,760 dogs vaccinated.

Second murder suspect arrested in Tate investigation
