Cardin Named to Airport Board in Santa Maria

Philip H. Cardin former Vandenberg Public Affairs officer has been appointed to the Santa Maria Public Airport District board to fill the unexpired term of Alfred E. Everett. Everett resigned earlier. Cardin was sworn in Wednesday in ceremonies led by Deputy County Clerk Paul Brancher. Cardin retired from the Air Force on June 1, 1970 as a colonel and was active in public affairs during his tour here.

Grand jury declines Nixon taxes probe in Orange County
