Santa Ynez District opposes four lane road plan
The Santa Ynez Community Services District rejected four lane road proposals in the valley including Edison Street from Highway 246 to 154 and a Sagunto to Meadowvale segment as harmful to community unity. They will attend a public hearing in October in Santa Barbara. The advisory committee also rejected a southern bypass of Solvang and all four lane development, while considering a local sanitation disposal alternative and planning funding of 1.25 million dollars for the project. A 1977 beef carcass evaluation meeting for steers will be held at the Santa Maria Veterans Memorial Building.
