State bingo laws eased to allow more activity
Restrictions on the state bingo law adopted last year have been eased to allow more groups to run bingo games. The amended law, signed July 7 1977, lets labor agricultural or horticultural groups fraternal societies business associations non profit clubs and senior citizen groups obtain permits from the City Clerk. The Lompoc city policy keeps some free permits and sets a five year permit term while profit from games must go to charitable causes and fines apply for improper profits.
