County planners mull backyard horses and delayed ordinance

County Planning Commission discussed proposed changes to limit private horse stables on small lots amid opposition from horse clubs and neighbors. Lompocans aid blind father from Baja

Lompoc residents rallied to help Ranulfo Melendrez a blind Mexican man seeking eye surgery. With help from local church members and an American Baptist missionary he traveled from Baja to Santa Barbara for evaluation and possible treatment. Forest zoning to be aired Sept. 4
