For the first time since its 1967 creation the Base Suggestion Trophy went to a non SAC unit at Vandenberg AFB. The 25th Aerospace Defense Squadron led in two categories with 180 submissions and 92.9 percent participation. AFLCSG took second in two categories, while FY1970 results show $663,295 saved by base personnel through suggestions and $19,945 awarded.

He is a San Marcos Texas native with a long Air Force career including tours in Japan Korea Labrador Italy and Germany and multiple decorations. He holds a master’s in meteorology from Texas A&M University and lives at 604 Aspen Vandenberg with his wife Elizabeth Ann and sons William and Scott.
