Nine satellites sent into orbit on single Vandenberg launch

An Atlas F booster launched from Vandenberg AFB at 5 11 p m carried two orbiting vehicles to place nine experiments into three orbits as part of the Space Experiments Support Program. Equine VEE Vaccine Set for Solvang Monday August 9

Veterinarians in Santa Barbara County plan a Venezuelan equine encephalitis vaccination drive beginning Monday at 8 a.m. in Solvang. Dr. William Matulich says vaccine will be mixed by his team and given to local vets from the County Health Department. Owners may arrange with their chosen vets, groups can host clinics at a central location to reduce travel, no charge to horse owners, and the program aims to finish within about three weeks.
