Southland April Festival Guide Highlights Several City Events

Automobile Club of Southern California lists major events across Southern California from April 20 to 30. Luxton Earns $220 for Safety Valve Check Procedure

E E Luxton of Phillips Petroleum Santa Barbara Production Area received a 220 award under the company suggestion plan for an idea to improve checking safety valves. J W Russell Jr presented the award. Luxton, a 20 year Phillips employee, works as a gas and production facility operator aboard Platform Hogan on the Outer Continental Shelf in the Santa Barbara Channel. He and his wife Patricia Ann and four children live in California, after previous Phillips assignments in Arkansas Nebraska and Texas.
