Federal grand jury to decide if Patty was willing bandit

A federal grand jury will decide whether Patricia Hearst was acting freely in the Hibernia Bank robbery where 10,960 dollars was stolen. Young hiker plucked off forest cliff near Lake

A 20 year old university student and amateur climber Fred Knorr of Michigan was stranded on a 500 foot cliff in Los Padres National Forest near Lake. He was rescued by sheriff Search and Rescue at about 9 45 a m and taken to a Santa Barbara area hospital. He suffered exposure and bronchitis and was airlifted due to the bronchitis and presumed exhaustion. The incident began when Lauren Eckhaus 19 reported contact with Knorr at 7 53 p m yesterday from Goleta. The cliff lies about a mile west of Gibraltar and two miles from Red Rock.

Rodino Says House Means Business in Tape Subpoena Demand

Rep. Peter W. Rodino asserts the House Judiciary Committee will demand tape recordings of 42 presidential conversations and warns that refusing the subpoena could be an impeachable offense. The panel plans hearings around May 7 and has given the White House until April 25 to hand over February to April talks.
