Book Fair at Mission Hills Elementary Week of April 21
Los Berros Elementary School PTA will sponsor a book fair the week of April 21 with carefully selected titles priced for enjoyable reading. Display hours are April 21 22 23, open house April 23 7 30 to 9 00 p m in Room 9. books for purchase April 23 25. Girl Scout Troop 122 leader Cathy Chittum taught folk dancing April 15. Eva Black’s fourth grade toured the Mission Hills water treatment and sewer plants on April 8 guided by William Cooke, viewing Plant 1 and the sewer plant behind the recreation center with the grinding machine oxidation ponds and aerators.

Mission Hills Scouts Help Prep Easter Event and Camporee
Troop 68 Boy Scouts mowed Mission Hills grounds for the March Easter egg hunt and baked three pies in an ad hoc ground oven. Alan Doty and Paul Doty earned merit badges. Paul has 23 flying hours. About 17 scouts planned a district camporee April 18-20 at North Star campground on Vandenberg AFB. Community discusses water company funding and potential conversion to a mutual company.
