Farm Bureau tax panel begins study of county budget
Santa Barbara County Farm Bureau Tax Committee will start its review of the 1977 78 fiscal year budget the first week in May. Members from Santa Ynez Valley Lompoc Santa Maria Carpinteria and Goleta Centers will prepare recommendations for the board of supervisors by June 8.

SYVHS Construction Behind Schedule
The 2.18 million Santa Ynez Valley High School building program is about 68 percent complete with an expected finish in August, delaying the start of the fall term. Extensions were approved for general contractor B D Collins Construction Lompoc, and budget adjustments were made for theater lighting. SBA recommends Condit as rep on Valley Advisory Committee
Filmore Condit, new Solvang Business Assn planning and zoning director, will be submitted to Supervisor Robert Hedlund for approval as SBA representative on the Santa Ynez Valley Advisory Committee. The SBA board, after Hedlund asked for three to four names, chose Condit unanimously and will arrange an interview with the supervisor.

Martin to chair Old Santa Ynez Day fete in June
Dan Martin has been elected general chairman of the second annual Old Santa Ynez Day on Saturday June 11 in Santa Ynez. The planning group met at the J Bar M Drive-In with Walter LeVeck and Bernie LeVeck as officers and Morrie Tilley heading the food committee. Activities include a morning parade, games, live entertainment, a barbecue, a street dance, and badge sales with volunteer helpers invited from across the Santa Ynez Valley. The general committee will meet again April 19 at 7 30 at the J Bar M.
