Fighting surges in Mekong Delta rockets strike Tan Chau
In the Mekong Delta southwest of Saigon fighting rose to a peak not seen since the January cease fire. Soviet built 122mm rockets hit Tan Chau district capital near the Cambodian border four times in five hours injuring 35 people and destroying 42 dwellings. Ong Ngu town west of Saigon saw eight Saigon soldiers and 27 Communist troops killed.
