Floods recede as Sacramento River levels ease statewide
The Sacramento River crested two feet above flood stage near Red Bluff but receded as a weather break reduced storm activity. Lowland trailer courts in Shasta County evacuated. flood control releases at Shasta Dam returned to 79 000 cubic feet per second while Oroville Dam spillway flow aided reservoir drawdown. Riverbank erosion and agricultural damage were reported along several river sections.

Burglars Use Two Trucks in $8,500 Auto Wrecking Heist
The Perry's Auto Wrecking burglary at 613 S Avalon St netted more than $8,500 in tools metal and equipment. Proprietor Alfred Perry said he last checked the business at 10 am Sunday after feeding his guard dog. Authorities report the dog was sprayed with chemical to neutralize it during the theft.

Born April 21 1913 in Mexico he came to Lompoc 23 years ago. Survived by wife Teresa a daughter Yolanda De LaRosa Garza Librado a brother and three sisters all in Mexico and Texas.
