Multiple Local Weddings and Social Events Highlight At City Churches

Mrs. Pearl M. Cox and Clarence O. James wed in a ceremony led by Rev. Joseph Craig then depart for a Pacific coast trip before settling at 328 Miami Ave after January 1 1912. Georgia R. Harris and Silas Schrock marry in Peru and plan to reside there. Ruth Wall and James L. Horseman wed in Kokomo and will live there. A silver anniversary for Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ervin is noted with a 150 guest dine and pink brown decorations. Community clubs and church events fill the week with meetings dinners and socials across Harmony Court Women’s Home Missionary Society Pleasant Valley church and local lodges.

Major rate case opens in Indianapolis today

Rates from Logansport and other northern Indiana cities will be examined in a major probe as the Indianapolis freight bureau and the railroad commission of Indiana challenge the Central Freight Association railroads. Special Examiner Geery of the Interstate Commerce Commission will hear the case at the federal building in Indianapolis, with broad interest among shippers in Indiana and neighboring states.

Polk Trouble Settled Deed Transfers Polk Homestead in Greenwood

Special to the Tribune Franklin Indiana November 30 A deed filed Wednesday conveys to Ralph B Polk and Pearl Polk the Polk homestead in Greenwood. James T Polk signs the conveyance and reserves a life interest. The action ends efforts to challenge the elder Polk as of unsound mind after marrying his housekeeper. The elder Polk was in Chicago with his bride and agreed to appear in local court.

Ship in distress near Port Colborne fragments worsen

Miles east of Port Colborne today the vessel is reported to be rapidly going to pieces. Two members of the crew are Mr Wise and Mrs Wise, the latter the wife of a crew member.
