Loss estimated at 750000 with 1 worker feared dead. fire spread to a second building, destroying 100 completed automobiles and threatening a gasoline tank but kept from exploding. Insurance coverage listed at 240000.
In Indianapolis Indiana the Senate reports nine house bills and two senate measures passed. The central issue is a plan to select the railroad commission by a new method amid broader fights over public control of interurbans and state transport policy. Senator Shively and others speak for and against the proposed system with votes recorded along party lines.
