Oscar M Jordan vanished early Monday from the home of Panhandle worker L Coder at 515 Fourteenth Street. The 30 year old visitor left to return to M M Dehaven's Kokomo road farm eight miles south but has not been seen since. He is described as 180 pounds with light brown hair blue eyes and a gray suit oxford shoes and straw hat.

Assault on Winamac girl shocks Panhandle station

A 16 year old Winamac girl reported being kidnapped and brutally assaulted by three young men at the Panhandle area near the tracks and river bank after meeting them downtown. She was found at the Panhandle station and police searched for the suspects. The incident follows other political inquiry hearings in Washington and Chicago related to Senator Lorimer's election.
