World Famous Aviators To Thrill Logansport This Week

Aviators Fly Briefly at Terre Haute Meet

Cooke Acquitted in Two Hours by Cincinnati Jury

A Cincinnati jury acquitted a former Big Four Railroad employee of embezzlement after a trial that lasted about two hours. The defense argued lack of proof while prosecutors asserted misappropriation of funds.

Not Guilty in Embezzlement Case Against Edward S Cooke

Seamen Strike Halts Five Morgan Vessels At Harbor

Five Morgan Line coastwise ships and tugs lay at anchor or tied up as 500 seamen stewards firemen and stokers strike against the Morgan line. The Momus and El Cid carried passengers and faced picketing tugs while the Antilles El Rio and El Norte remained docked. Union members gathered riverfront in mass meeting and pledged to fight the summer. Officials sent recruits but pickets blocked several boats from reaching ships.

Panama bond issue draws three times subscribed at about 102.50

The government sold a 50 million three percent Panama canal bond issue with bids over 102.50 on average. Major banks and investors in New York led the allocations, while smaller bidders across the country will receive the remaining amounts. Stabbing Affray After Dance At Vacant House

A dance at a vacant house near Kokomo road ended in a stabbing feud. Chester Crockett was slashed in the back and Lawrence Pay cut in the wrist while defending a rival.
