A long 1902 Logansport letter recounts a day of shopping and travel. The writer rides the Fort Wayne and Wabash Valley Interurban to visit the Murdock Hotel and Boston Store, buys a hand painted dinner set, parlor furniture, a Bush & Lane piano, perfumes, Julia Marlowe shoes, a base burner, and knives and forks. She notes dental work and a lunch at Saratoga Cafe before renting an Oakland coupe for a city tour.
