Chamber of Commerce leaders outlined a year long program to build a Victory Memorial in Cass County. The plan calls for a community house with a public pool, waiting rooms, an assembly hall, and a CC headquarters. A committee will soon be formed to draft details and present them to the public.
Logansport will display a municipal Christmas tree after Mayor Barnes said the influenza ban is lifted and safety is improved. Work to secure the tree erect it and string lights will start immediately, with no formal program planned due to schools not in session. The tree stands at Broadway foot as in past years.
The holiday vacation will last only one day, Christmas Day, decided at a conference between Supt. A. H. Douglass and Supt. J. E. Ladders. Influenza-caused lost school time prompted the move. Logansport schools plan to reopen next Monday, with most rural schools in session then.
