Bristol reports Prime Minister David Lloyd George presenting war costs to Allies against Germany. He cites a 4 to 8 billion pound bill and Germany’s wealth as 15 to 20 billion pounds, insisting Britain will not surrender naval protection nor pay beyond capacity.
