Mathias Erzberger said the French government asked the German army to appoint plenipotentiaries for armistice talks. The delegates will meet in Treves on December 12 and 13 to discuss extending the agreement.
Dispatches report Berlin in radical hands as Ebert government sends troops to crush the Spartacist movement. Disorders also reach Munich and Tilson amid clashes between revolutionists and imperialists. British troops rush to Cologne to restore order after a burgomaster appeal.
Armed troops forced interior minister Herr Auer to resign at pistol point on Friday and seized several newspapers. Premier Eisner later ordered the revolutionaries to withdraw from presses but left Bavarian Courier content unpublished. Continued on Page Three.
Washington reports the senate finance committee outlines tax issues from postwar peace and prohibition. The revised war revenue bill aims to raise about 5.98 billion dollars next year instead of 7.5 billion, reflecting changes after armistice and prohibition.

The Commercial Pacific cable company and allied parties sought a federal court injunction to bar Postmaster General Burleson from further control of about 10 000 miles of cable from San Francisco to China Japan and the Philippines. The complaint accuses Burleson of violating international law by impounding the cables without consent from the land nations and argues that such consent requires a formal Senate approved treaty.
Indiana Governor Goodrich will appoint a mixed Democratic and Republican panel to draft a new primary election law and propose changes to the absent voters law. The group may also review registration law, seek repeal, and propose a constitutional amendment for registrative county systems. Leaders from both parties favor reform.
