An indictment was returned for a Cambridge man identified as One St Collins. He was ordered held in jail in default of bail after being arraigned yesterday on charges.
From El Tigre to Douglas and on to Nacozari, American defenders deter rebels led by Rafael Campo. Refugees from Mormon colonies Morelos and Oaxaca travel with armed guards while Curtis and Cunningham recount a harrowing escape after a battle near El Oro mine where 30 rebels died and federal troops suffered 2 dead and 2 wounded.
The Democratic National Committee and Democratic Congressional Committee published a 400 page campaign text book. It includes party platforms, Woodrow Wilson and Thomas Marshall acceptance speeches, tariffs, and high cost of living material. The issue also notes a purported receipt for a $10000 contribution from U S Steel to the Republican fund in 1904. Acting Chairman McAdoo says 165 banks wired to forward campaign contributions.

He recalled teaching and noted rural schools sit unused between sessions, stressing schools as public buildings.

In Flint on August 30, fourteen year old Chester Betts son of Bert Betts was fatally injured when the guy rope of a balloon tore loose lifting him about 2000 feet before it untangled. He crashed on a barn roof and died despite crowd and balloonist efforts to save him.
