Three cases show how an Abstract of Title would have saved expense and worry. One man believed his land title was clear due to a court deed until personal taxes linked to a prior owner revealed the issue. He paid for an Abstract to avoid future problems.

Pleasant Michigan. Miss Mae Spencer and Miss Katherine Rothermel return from Culver. Mrs. O. H. Binns and Mrs. Walter Uhl depart by Wabash for a trip through the St. Lawrence River and the Maine and Vermont lakes.
The Panhandle rip track team did not play the Logan Browns as planned Sunday morning at Spencer Park due to players being forced to work at the shops. A pickup team substituted and lost 7 to 0 to the Browns. A rematch will be scheduled in a couple of weeks.

Fred Dykeman threshed ten acres and yielded 665 1 2 bushels of oats despite storms. He notes five bushels per acre escaped due to binding. Neighbors with similarly productive soil had about half the yield, making his result notably large.
The regular meeting of the retail clerks for tonight will not be held due to the circus. The next regular meeting will be held two weeks from tonight.
Fire departments responded yesterday afternoon near four. A small blaze in the rear of the grocery on Woodling street near Bates was contained with little trouble.
