Mrs. Mary Copley Thaw charged Matteawan state hospital with denying her son Harry K. Thaw privileges and humane care after his return by Justice Mills. She cited 18 months of prior privileges stripped, restricted meals and piano, locked cells, and alleged revenge by Dr. Lamb and Dr. Baker.
Noblesville Indiana August 21 Relatives here received a telegram from Forest City Park announcing the sudden death of Henry Wheeler a leading lumber dealer in the south He lived in Noblesville until twelve years ago later moved south to engage in lumber cutting and sawing The body will be brought here for burial The dispatch says the death was caused by a congestion following the eating of a watermelon He is survived by his widow a son Harvey Wheeler and three brothers in Noblesville
Associated Press reports the Salvation Army commander-in-chief suffered an eye injury after a septic incident this afternoon. Doctors have not determined if vision can be saved.
George A. McLean Jr. died in an auto crash near New Brunswick as the steering failed and the car hit a telegraph pole. His father, George A. McLean Sr., 50, was seriously injured and died later. Mrs McLean and two young women were injured. daughter suffered a broken leg and arm. The party was returning from Princeton to New York where McLean planned to enter college.
George A. Mac Lean, a department manager at Marshall Field & Co. Chicago, was killed in an automobile accident in New Brunswick New Jersey. He was about fifty, had served the firm since he was a boy.
