Guy P Manaugh of 1218 Market Street awoke to sounds and chased a burglar downstairs in a home intrusion. He kicked at the intruder injuring his great toe before the burglar fled through a window. Police found no valuables taken and no trace of the burglar.
A Galveston crowd watched a bloodhound fail to smell the burglars at the Armstrong and Rodebaugh homes Sunday night. The dog returned to Danville Illinois after attempts to track the thieves. Residents had sought bloodhounds from multiple cities to lead a search and stop a series of break ins.
The Tribune promotes a large Indiana sale in Logansport with fare refunds for shoppers within 50 to 75 miles. Mrs. E W Mason wife of an oil magnate lay in the road beside an overturned auto in a ditch at Pataluna Cal Aug 19. She pleaded for her husband to end her agony and died ten minutes later. The Mason car overturned in the ditch as onlookers arrived.
Acting County Chairman Hillis names Charles D. Sellers to oversee party affairs at headquarters. Sellers will be present daily and nightly, with duties ranging from political speech to polling precincts as registration day nears.
