Panhandle Engineer Van Steenberg set a record Chicago to St. Paris run with a two hour six minute time. Engineer Helvie piloted the special train to Bradford 115 miles away in two hours and thirty four minutes under slow orders. The train left Chicago at 9 48 a m and reached St Paris at 2 32 p m as George Keiser rushed to his father’s bedside.
